Thank you Bob supporters!

When people learned about Bob's plans to thru-hike the Appalachian Trail, they generally asked one of a few questions such as:

• Is he going with a group?

• The whole thing?

• How many miles is that?

• How long will he be gone?

• How is he going to protect himself (from bears, people, etc.)?

  
  

However, once they have learned a bit more, everyone has been impressed and supportive. So we want to say thank you. Thank you for the friendship, offers of help to Rebecca, offers to deliver food and supplies and the ongoing prayers that will give us both wings for this incredible journey.

One of the most special forms of tribute and support Bob received is from his friend Michel, a retired chef who still entertains and amazes his friends with his amazing creations. This sugar sculpture was created for Bob and appeared on top of a three layer ice cream cake at a sendoff party for Bob hosted by Michel and Marge. Thank you!
