Random Stuff - March 22, 2025

Last night Builder stayed at Locus Core Gap, "tenting". This means that he has traversed more than 147 miles and is on schedule, based on the plan he sketched out a few days ago.

Today he should be hiking about 12 miles. And tomorrow, a Sunday in Lent, he will have a short walk (7 miles) to Fontana Dam Shelter where he will be able to resupply.

I am currently in Charleston with my sister doing probate stuff for our Mom's estate. The weather is glorious and fully spring, here, with azaleas busting out all over. We are a bit further behind on spring in SE NC where I will return to tomorrow. I hope my fledgling vegetable seedlings didn't miss me too much.

In the meantime, I hope they will inspire you to step outside, take a walk, breathe in the spring air (even if it's still cold where you are), feel the sunshine and/or the wind and appreciate the gift of life, if even for a moment or two.
