Are you a nature enthusiast who thrives on the thrill of exploring the great outdoors? Do you find solace and rejuvenation in the tranquility of forested landscapes and winding trails? Or are you someone like Bob, who just decided one day to take a long walk from Georgia to Maine?

Bob is a thoughtful, organized person with years of project management experience. As a woodworker, stained glass artist and avid tennis player, Bob has plenty to do in retirement. But there are paths to forge and mountains to climb, so Bob's Long Walk was born.
Bob is going to be largely unplugged for his hike, though he will have a satellite tracker and will participate in a well-known app for AT hikers.
His wife, Rebecca, will relay his status and statistics, highs and lows, and a few photos each week. Please join her, along with family, friends, neighbors and other hikers in cheering him on.
Whether you are a seasoned hiker with countless trails under your belt or a novice eager to take your first steps on the path less traveled, Bob's Long Walk welcomes you with open arms. Lace up your walking shoes, pack your backpack, grab a water bottle and get ready to explore the wonders of the Appalachian Trail with us. Together, let's breathe in the fresh mountain air, listen to the rustling leaves, and bask in the beauty of nature – one step at a time.
"A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step." Lao Tzu, a Chinese proverb
